It was pitched!
The first event of the Volkswagen Group IT Solutions "Pitching Days" ideas workshop took place at the end of March.
The Pitching Days are a new format in which colleagues can submit proposals in a relaxed atmosphere that contribute to the further development of VWGIS and bring added value to the company. Ideally, the creative approaches to solutions should be a source of ideas for one's own professional environment.
For the pitch, each team had ten minutes to convince the jury - consisting of members of the extended management and the works council - of their idea. This included proposals for a centralised information platform and the implementation of a culture analysis, as well as a competence matrix and an automation framework.
Afterwards, the content of the presentations was discussed constructively, so that three out of four concepts were approved for budget and manpower for a first Minimum Viable Product. Another team is reworking the content of its ideas and will present them again at the next Pitching Day. In addition, all employees have the opportunity to present new ideas at the next Pitching Day.
Antje Herrmann, Head of HR, Legal, Compliance & Communications and part of the Pitching Days jury, draws a positive conclusion to the first event: "I was very pleased with the innovative ideas and software solutions presented by our colleagues. I am convinced that the concepts presented will further advance VWGIS as an IT partner in the Volkswagen Group."
