Successful completion of the transitions of Newada, NADIN and FLEET
Unique in its project set-up, successful through remote work and supported by Volkswagen Group IT Solutions colleagues. This characterises the international OMD bundle around the colleagues of Volkswagen Group Services, the departments Newada, NADIN and Fleet Ordering as well as the Spanish colleagues of Volkswagen Group Services. To this end, an OMD (Order Management and Distribution) workshop was held for the first time in mid-July at the competence centre in Barcelona.
After more than two years of remote work, the successful completion of the transitions was viewed in a joint retrospective and the after-work activities were used to get to know each other better, make new contacts and expand the existing cooperation for the future.
But what is the uniqueness of the project? In this case, it represents the first international cooperation with colleagues from Volkswagen Group Services. However, due to the pandemic, there has been no opportunity to celebrate the successful completion of the transitions in the project team. Therefore, a physical meeting had already been planned for months in order to finally get to know the Spanish colleagues on site after two years of successful cooperation.
The team originally started with 25 Volkswagen Group Services colleagues in Barcelona and has grown to a team size of 40 employees. The team around Christian Lenkeit, Head of Sales, draws a positive conclusion to the workshop and the team evenings:
"The evening programme was voluntary for all employees and the local team leads contributed ideas for it. You could tell from the first moment that the Spanish colleagues were totally curious about us - that's why almost all of them were there.
Even team members from the capital Madrid came all the way to Barcelona to meet us in person. That was a very nice feeling and showed us once again with what team spirit and heart and soul we approach the project. That's exactly why we work so successfully together in OMD!"
