VWGIS colleagues celebrate second Summer Jam at Pelikanplatz
There was a lot of laughing, listening to relaxed music and busy networking. The second After-Work-Party at the Hanover location was a great success! You can read more about the social program and the voices from the VWGIS team in the article.
A sunny Thursday evening at Pelikanplatz and 80 good-humored guests. Site manager Christian Lenkeit invited VWGIS employees as well as their friends and families to the After-Work-Party in Hanover and together with the organizing team ensured a successful end of workday.
The colleagues were well provided with plenty of pizza, chilled drinks and a colorful candy bar. After a short warm welcome from the site manager, the live music started with Stephan Püschel from "The Driftwood Orchestra". Besides numerous reunions, vacation stories were exchanged and also new VWGIS employees were welcomed to the event.
"With around 80 participants, we not only significantly exceeded the number of guests at the first SUMMER JAM - we were also able to go one better in terms of diversity.
Once again, individual colleagues from Wolfsburg and Braunschweig accepted the invitation. I was particularly pleased about the participation of our DIAS partners from the very beginning and also of the Indian colleagues from VWITS, who were in Hannover for team and project workshops that day.
I would also like to thank the "Culture" action group, parts of which found their way to Pelikanplatz to experience the site culture live and to take away impulses for the other sites as well.
Special thanks go to our management, which has always placed its trust in us and made this event possible in the first place.
It was a great evening in the best weather, which is crying out to be repeated in 2024. Keep on jamming!"
"The Summer Jam in Hannover was a really nice and successful event to meet colleagues outside of Microsoft teams and get to know new ones, accompanied by live music, cool drinks and pizza.
Far too rarely does this opportunity arise to meet across departments and locations live and in color - I'd love to do more of it!"
"In the run-up I had heard a lot of positive things about last year's VWGIS Summer Jam and was very excited. And it has been confirmed, a super event.
Besides the great and super likeable music act "The Driftwood Orchestra", it was also a great opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues that you meet less often in daily business.
The atmosphere at the jam was great, the weather was perfect (nomen es omen) and now I finally know what "UXCC closes!" means. 😁 I'm already looking forward to Summer Jam Vol. 3!"
