Impressions and experiences of the event in Essen
Last week, from 10-11 May 2022, the presence event for the European IT Management Symposium took place in the industrial monument and UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein in Essen.
The host BEE360 GmbH invited well-known companies such as Lufthansa AG, Santander Consumer Bank AG, ALDI Nord and Volkswagen Group IT Solutions with their speakers to network and exchange ideas on management systems, digitalisation and cultural change.
Our CFO Dirk Birke gave a keynote speech on the topic:
"Bringing together healthy growth and digitalization of IT processes. How the VWGIS creates transparency and structure for its projects and employees."
The organiser BEE360 GmbH is also an established provider of integrated management systems that have a minimum of effort and complexity and map various areas such as strategy, enterprise architecture, project and portfolio management and finance. In this context, our CFO Dirk Birke and VWGIS colleague Hakan Özdemir used the exchange of experience on the tool to learn in detail about the Bee360 management system.
In the numerous presentations and subsequent discussions, it became clear that many companies are facing the same challenges in the future. On the one hand, it was a question of how to find good employees, recruit them and retain them in the long term.
On the other hand, the fact that many investments have been made in co-working spaces and attractive office spaces was discussed and the question was asked how the balancing act between mobile work and presence in the office can look and function in the future.
In this context, the topic of New Work was discussed even more intensively and the following points were taken up: How do we want to work in the future? What are the needs of our target groups? Which benefits are relevant?
In addition, we talked about how to handle our own crisis management in times of pandemics, stable supply chains and the Ukraine crisis and what effects this has on individual companies and corporations.
Our conclusion to the event:
As an IT partner in the Volkswagen Group, we are well positioned. However, the digitalisation offensive remains a challenge for many companies across all sectors.
According to the core statement of our CFO Dirk Birke, we are optimistic about the future and make a clear statement: "It's not about the money, it's about talent and transparency."
